Redfish Rodeo-Lower Galveston Bay

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Folks
Dickinson bay continues to give up great numbers of slot redfish.

Best colors are the gold spoon 1/8 or 1/4 oz and pumpkin seed, along with plum. Using Sufix braid in the 30 lb test. Great feel for that soft bite…………….

Better bite midday till dark. Moon phase is better prior to full and new moon.

Some great speckled trout as well wading near the HY 146 bridge and the HLP entrance.

Burnett and Scotts bays are giving up good number’s of 16 to 17 inch spec;s, along with a few slot reds…………….

Campbells bay still showing good numbers of trout near Virginia Pt. Best bet is soft plastic Assassins in salt-pepper, and limetruse

Merry Christmas to your families
god bless

January Update

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

Folks………….

Tides are 2-4 feet low as I type this report………….

Tried Dickinson and Moses………………..no fish

Going tommorrow to Burnett or Chocalate………….
More after the group returns……………….

Be careful out near the channel in Dickinson bay. Lots of surface structure near the top with low tides. Good time to go now and mark ‘em……………

Less than a foot at the ramp……………..
God bless
