Guys………………………..

It’s that time to fish early and before noon…………………..

Recent tides have been slack and only one daily. Better to go before daylight. Be careful of objects and pipestands in your way. Winds are down under 15mph.

Speckled trout and redfish holding at the Big Separator and behind marker 72 near the new island. Close near the rocks. In East Bay at Deep or Richards Reef.

Birds are holding near Atkinson Is. early. Best bet is 3/8 lead near the wells or on the boittom. Work ‘em slow. Try not to catch the bottom.

Colors are limetruse, glow or pearl. Either Assassins, Norton or Gulp.
Water temp is near 90 degrees……………….

Crockers are working near Redfish Is and Todds Dump……………..
Lot s of small spec’s to 18 inches.

More soon……………

Pattern-Specs and Redfish

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

Folks

The past two weeks has been rewarding with wading early in East or Trinity and then around 1000 am, moving back in the boat and finish on mid bay reefs.

Areas like Elmgrove, The Hog Pins and Yates and in Trinity like the area near the spillway to Reds bayou.

Water temp is mid 80’s(86) and visibility is great. Lots of nervous shad and small mullet. In about two feet or less before daylight, great bite on top water Baby Spooks or She Pups/ Colors like bone or chrome working well with chartruse and black a distant second.

Drifting near Deep and Hannah’s and in Trinity near Sun Oil Lease. Using salt/pepper,chartruse and plum with 1/4 oz lead. Fish are near the poles supporting the structure.

Pattern will remain till first front in early September………………

Redfish are best caught using gold spoons and curly tails in redshad or black magic…………………

Will update should there be any changes
God bless
